Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Lucerne, viewing the Old Town with its quaint streets and squares, busy market places and decorated houses, the twin towers of Hof church, the wooden Chapel Bridge with its unique historical paintings and the Water Tower, the covered Mills Bridge and the Musegg Ramparts with the remains of the fortified city walls. See the medieval Government Palace, the Jesuit church and the scenic lakeside promenade, overlooking the lake, city and mountains.
Visiting the Glacier, which was discovered in 1872 near the Lion Monument, you will encounter lost worlds; there are few places on earth that portrary the history of our planet. so clearly. You will embark on a voyage of discovery from a subtropical palm beach that existed 20 million years ago to the glaciers of the last Ice Age 20,000 years ago.

Drive along the lake of Lucerne and across the Bruenig Pass into the Bernese Oberland, a region of high Alps with glaciers and lakes. Stop at the woodcarver’s village of Brienz to have a look at a workshop. Continue along Lake Brienz to Interlaken, the center of Bernese Oberland Drive along Lake Thun to Berne, the romantic capital of Switzerland. See the arcaded Old Town with its splendid Gothic Cathedral, the famous Clock Tower where the figures play and the Houses of the Swiss Parliament. Time at leisure. Return to Lucerne through the Emmental and Entlebuch valleys.

Short drive along Lake Lucerne to the little town of Stans, where Switzerland's most venerated Saint Nicholas of Flüe saved the still fragile structure of the young Confederation by his conciliatory intervention in 1481. Board a romantic funicular with fringed curtains. Half way up change into a cable car which brings you up to the magnificent Stanserhorn Belvedere (6'227 ft.). Enjoy the splendid panorama of lake Lucerne and the peaks of the Swiss alps. Time at leisure. Descend to Stans. On the way back to Lucerne stop at Hergiswil and visit the oldest glass manufacture in Switzerland, where you can watch glassblowers at work.
Guided Excursion to the Abbey of Einsiedeln

Leave Lucerne via Lake Zug to Einsiedeln with its 1,000 year old monastery, Switzerland’s most important center of pilgrimage. The baroque church and monastery buildings forming the sumptuous ensemble of today were built in the 18th century on the site of a monastery founded in 934. The Holy Chapel hosts the statue of our Lady of Hermits, an object of special veneration for pilgrims. Every day at 4.00pm. the Latin Vespers are sung, after which the monks pass to the Lady Chapel in a procession and sing the Salve Regina, a tradition that goes back to the 16th century. Time at leisure. Return to Lucerne via Brunnen and the lakeside villages and resorts.
